Throughout this website, the terms “The Engraver”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to The Engraver and its online store. This website is operated for the sale of jewellery, engraved jewellery, personalised gifts, and related products.

2. Use of Website

You must be at least 18 years of age to make a purchase from this website.

You may use this website only for lawful purposes and for personal shopping use. You must not misuse this website, attempt to interfere with its operation, or use it for fraudulent purposes.

We reserve the right to refuse service, refuse to fulfil an order, or cancel any order at our discretion, including where we suspect fraudulent activity, incorrect pricing, unavailable stock, or misuse of the website.

3. Product Information and Engraving

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, pricing, and availability are accurate. However, slight differences may occur between how products appear on screen and how they appear in person.

Many of our products are hand engraved or customised to order. Because engraving is completed by hand, slight variations in spacing, depth, alignment, and finish may occur. These variations are part of the unique handmade nature of the product and are not considered faults.

It is the customer’s responsibility to carefully check all engraving details before submitting an order, including spelling, dates, initials, symbols, sizes, and other personalisation instructions. Orders will be produced based on the details entered at checkout.

4. Pricing and Availability

All prices displayed on our website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.

Prices shown on the website are current at the time displayed and may change without notice. Full payment must be made at the time of placing your order.

All products are subject to availability. We do our best to keep stock levels updated. If an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you as soon as possible and arrange a refund for the unavailable item where applicable.

5. Shipping and Delivery

We ship Australia-wide and may offer international shipping to selected countries.

Australia shipping

For orders of AUD $49 or more per transaction, we offer free standard delivery Australia-wide. For all other Australian orders, we charge a flat rate of AUD $8.00 for standard shipping.

International shipping

International shipping rates are as follows:

Orders are generally processed and shipped within 1–2 business days, excluding customised or engraved orders which may require additional production time. Delivery times vary depending on destination and carrier.

We use shipping services such as Australia Post, Sendle, or other appropriate courier providers. While we do our best to dispatch orders promptly, we are not responsible for delays caused by postal services, couriers, customs processing, or events outside our control.

Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery.

6. Returns and Exchanges

We understand that there may be occasions where you need to return an item.

You may be eligible for a return or exchange if:

  • you submit a request together with proof of purchase to hello@theengraver.co
  • the item is a regular-priced, non-customised item
  • the item is unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging
  • the item is returned within 14 days of delivery

Customised and engraved items

Because our engraved and personalised items are made specifically for each customer, customised, personalised, or engraved items cannot be returned or exchanged for change of mind, incorrect choice, or incorrect personalisation details provided by the customer.

However, if your item is faulty, damaged, or not as ordered, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Return shipping costs

You are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty or not as ordered. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and obtaining shipping insurance for higher-value items, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items without tracking.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email whether your return, exchange, or refund has been approved.

All exchanges are subject to stock availability.

Refunds

If your refund is approved, it will be processed back to your original method of payment. Please allow your bank or payment provider time to complete the transaction.

If you have not received your refund within 14 business days after approval, please first contact your bank or card provider. If the problem continues, please contact us at hello@theengraver.co.
